Mike Ruiz

New York-based director/photographer Mike Ruiz is well known for his high-impact, surreal brand of celebrity and fashion photography. He has worked with everyone from Betty White, Dolly Parton and Dennis Hopper to Lindsay Lohan, The Jonas Brothers and Zac Efron. His work has appeared in countless American and international magazines such as Vanity Fair, Flaunt, Conde Nast Traveler, Interview, Paper, Citizen K, Dazed and Confused, Arena, Italian Elle, Spanish and Brazilian Vogue and was a contributor to Dolce and Gabbana's "Hollywood" book and Iman's "The Beauty of Color" beauty book.

Mike’s vision and keen sense of beauty has allowed him to make a natural progression to directing music videos. His reputation for capturing beauty on film has attracted artists such as Kelly Rowland, Kristine W and Traci Lords, Jody Watley and new pop sensation Shontelle.

Mike made his feature film directorial debut with Rupaul’s uproarious comedy "Starrbooty" which was a film festival favorite in 2007.

Mike currently lives in New York City.
